O Conselho Superior da Magistratura Judicial é o órgão máximo responsável pela gestão, disciplina e orientação da magistratura judicial, abrangendo nomeações, promoções, transferências e a fiscalização de seus membros, como juízes e oficiais de justiça. Suas funções incluem aprovar políticas, gerir recursos humanos e supervisionar o funcionamento dos tribunais e secretarias judiciais. A nomeação de Augusto Raúl Paulino reforça o compromisso do Chefe do Estado com o fortalecimento das instituições da justiça e com a promoção de um sistema judicial íntegro, transparente e funcional, em benefício do Estado de Direito e da consolidação da democracia moçambicana.
