This helps share your real-time location from devices with people you choose in Google apps or services, like: Maps Find Hub Family Link Personal Safety This setting is device and account-specific. If youâre logged into your account on more than one device, adjust this setting for each device separately. What info you share with Location Sharing The Location Sharing setting is off by default. It canât be turned on until you share your location with someone in: Maps Find Hub To turn on your location, go to Find Hub . Family Link Personal Safety People you choose to share your location with can see your: Name Profile picture Real-time location Battery status Shared info may also include where youâve recently been. Google Maps may display how youâre traveling, such as walking or driving. When available, Location Sharing may show your location as a point of interest or an address. For example, it may show your location as the restaurant or other business that you are currently in or near. In busy areas, this feature may occasionally show your location incorrectly as a nearby point of interest. For each person you share your location with, you can choose whether theyâre allowed to create notifications about you. Tip: If your account is managed by a parent or guardian, they can manage Location Sharing with the Family Link app . In order to share your location you need a(n): A Google account A Mobile device An Active internet connection âUse locationâ turned on for your device. Tip: Location sharing may not be available for your Google Workspace domain . To turn on location sharing, ask your administrator . If Location sharing doesnât work for you, send us feedback . Stop sharing your location with a specific person Visit myaccount.google.com . At top left, click People & sharing . Scroll down to âInfo you can share with others,â click Location Sharing . Tap Manage Location Sharing . Tap the personâs name you want to stop sharing your location with. If you share your location with a large number of people: Tap the section that shows the people you currently share your location with. Select the person. Next to the person's name, tap Stop .
